New York State of Mind.

3 weeks of GoodLife feeling.

I will post just a few pictures of the trip.. cause im lazy uploading it here :)

My "internship" there was FANTASTIC! Very Nice people who's working there! Speechless, Just want to thanks the good people there :) You guys know who you are! NB! you can eat the best waffles there..


New York is one of a kind, Every time i'm there im keep falling and falling in love with the city..

The Apartment we rented was nice, the neighborhood was better than expected, to be honest.. Upper East side! I thought there would be a lot of noises and police-sirens and that kinda stuff.. haha.. like i'd seen on films.. but it proved me wrong.. It's very nice actually!




Already on my first week there, we were on a wrestling match on Madison Square Garden. The Atmosphere there were none like any others.. You should definitely watch a match there..

We also walked around midtown and downtown the first week.. Gone shopping etc.
Second week, we went to Jersey gardens among other things, watched a movie in the cinema ("This Means War", very funny movie, y'all shall see it, *if you haven't seen it yet*)
We also watched NBA match between Knicks & Cavs... wooow... it was cool, even though our seat was far away, the view was fantastic, i can't complain!


First day of my 3rd week, my dad, cousin and aunt drove me to Atlantic city!! it was so niice to start of my last week on ACity, even though i wasn't on shopping&gamble mood that day!
I spent time with my family those last day i was in the U.S. But also went shopping for some things my family back in Norway wanted.. Eat at a japanish "restaurant" that i know my lil bro will love (because of Ramen).. My cousin also took us to the waterfront, so we could se the very nice view of the manhattan "island".




During my last week, my dad also rented a car, so it would be easy for us to drive to shopping malls and back to the airport etc etc.. I would recommend that!

Discussion is the hardest part on writing the bachelor exam and in any other papers, for that matter.. And to be honest i don't know if my discussion is good enough.. And as the day comes and goes, and it's closer to the deadline, I'm beginning to doubt if i chose the right subject to write in my bachelor exam.. It's not because i don't like the subject.. but the fact that i ended up with a strict teacher.. hahaha.. i'm so terrified of failing this one.. Since i began in college i have been struggling and workin' hard to assure that i'll finish my education as soon as possible.. So i really hope i'll pass this..

Never been...

so stressed and depressed, as i am right now..

Geez! i got one of our school's hardest and strictest teacher (Rumors from some fellow schoolmates) as my "supervisor" on my Bachelor Exam.. And i can agree that she is a tough teacher.. When i had a guidance-help with her today..she mentioned to me that she thinks it's hard for her to guide me through the exam because she thinks that i'm dejected etc etc..
And i am really scared of failing this exam.. i really do.. But as i usually do --> Expect the worst, hope for the best. Please God be with me in this one too, as you've always been by me on my every other essay through my education..

Dayyyum! long time no blog.. Lol..

Just been happening a lot of things lately.. Here's some of the things that happened to me lately..

- Officially having my "diaconal" internship in NEW YORK! If you read an old post i posted some weeks ago, i thought that i got hustled.. Well after talking with the agent, we compromised and made a deal.. I didnt' need to give my credit card information and my sec. code etc etc..
So short version.. NEW YORK, I'll be there soon! Planeticket--> DONE, apartment--> DONE! Im EXCITED! for realz... it will be an experience for me!


-Got myself a new Tattoo.. Well i thought about it for a while now, but i didn't had the time and the money to actually get myself a new ink.. But yeah, i got to know a tattoo artist who had a great price, and was good.. Så i didn't hesitate to get it the piece of art from him.. *PICTURE maybe later*
I got the ink on my left wrist, so i'm prepared to get prejudice from other people.. Just because a person have tattoo it doesn't mean that the person are in a gang or a bad person.. I think tattoo is an piece of art! so DONT STEREOTYPE!


-Im only 2 week left on my PSYCHIATRY internship.. Week after week, it became better.. I remember my first week in my psychiatry intership, i was really lost, didn't really know what work i have to do etc. But all in all i think it's been alright.. But i know for sure that i'm not gonna specialize in psychiatry.. MAYBE work in a psychiatry department someday.. but not at the first though.. Operation nurse/ Surgical nurse will be.. i think*


- Been helping my popz renovate my lil' bro's bedroom, and other stuff in the house.. Just thought that i need to learn more about electricty/cables etc. You know, be "handyman," So that one day in the future i'll be able to fix things once i establish my own family, instead of hiring electrician, carpenters and so on.. It's a good way to save up some money..


- Christmas is right around the corner.. And this year i wanted to do something good.. so i signed up as a voluntary "waiter"/bustboy on a organization called alternativ jul (Alternative christmas), where they serves food and drinks, offer a stay to sleepover on christmas.. So i'll be working there for just a day, just to check it out.. I'm blessed to have a great family, even thought that sometimes i take it for granted.. So i want to do something good for once..

- And WAITING & HOPING for a PACQUIAO - MAYWEATHER MATCH SOON!.. argh!

In these past few months my classmate/New York buddies and I tried to find an apartment in New York City, for our "diaconal internship"..

And then, a day I found a really nice apartment in Manhattan with a reasonable price..
So we decided to book this apartment.. But we gotta pre-pay for 4 nights.. And i did..
And then i have to fill up some papers.. and in these paper they ask me to give my credit card number AND SECURITY CODE..

and i know by experience that it's not a good idea to give the security code away.. Cause someone could take all the cashmoney from your bank account..

I've gottza talk to the person about finding another way to get this apartment without giving my security code.. And i HOPE and PRAY that i didn't got hustled..

I passed my community nursing internship today (but i still got this week and the next week left *= 5 days* until i'm OFFICIALLY done with this internship)..

Anywhoo..

And then! These fine people from the Norwegian Church Abroad in New york gave us an Green light! which means that me and my 3 other classmates are going to have our "internship with focus in diaconal" internship there in NYC!!

Im so excited! This will be an wonderful experience for us, and our career... and for my english.. haha cause i really suck in english :P so gotta practice a lil bit!!

I'm sleepy.. But I'm still trying to find a nice and cozy apartment for my internship in New York City, further said in Manhattan! *Not yet sure, but sensing that me and my classmates are soon to be approved to have the internship there*

Just lookin for a apartment near our internship (MIDTOWN Manhattan).. But we're kinda tight on budget, soo yeah, I'll guess it will take a while before we find the perfect one though.. Hoping that there's someone in NYC who rents their apartment on Manhattan for a very reasonable price! :)
